Does anyone have any experience with this jag? What things to look out for...
The particular one i'm looking at is really clean in and out, just the 40k on the motor.
Thanks.

I got an 04 s-type 4.2 v8. Nice car, I like it as a daily driver. Parts are kind of expensive when it comes to replacing stuff but I hope you already took that into account as it comes with the ownership of owning any jag. Mine gets up and goes pretty good, never drove a sc version but I bet it pulls good.

Safety Car
I was extremely close to pulling the trigger on one of these back in early 2007, I was looking at 2006's and some 2005's, I was looking at certified cars (Jag has a nice CPO program with 6yr/100K warranty). Its a nice well rounded car, good power, very nice interior, good handling and great brakes. I think its a beautiful car with great lines. I say go for it

My ex roommate had an XKR, not sure what the year was but it was probably a 2000.
I took it for a test drive and thought it was horrible.
3 months after owning it it developed a "gremlin" with the transmission control module which cost him around $2,500 to fix. (Probably a $200 part)
No way would I want one of those cars. The thing handled like dookie and wasn't even quick. The wood was all faded and cracked.
But whatever makes you happy.

I have a 98 XJR (4.0L supercharged). I bought it in 2003 with 32K miles. It was my wife's daily driver for several years until we started car pooling again. I have 89K miles on it now and it has been a pleasure to own.
The S type is basically a Lincoln LS under the skin.
