Stang is still running the archaic rear axle, you will never have sports car handling like the Corvette, quote any car mag review you want,Vette wins every time!!

For instance....

2010 Grand Sport vs 2010 GT500

Cheetah or a pig with lipstick?
Your choice, but a pig is still a pig
Get a ZR1 or a Z06 before you get the Pig.

What a shame goobering a nice performance car with that paint scheme! The wheels look so bad it's actually laughable... All they are missing is sign on the side that say's.. "Tony's Pizza's"

Boss is nice but get ready for "market adjustment". Which means plugged in the behind without foreplay...

OP,
Can you have both? In other words, is it possible to buy the Boss 302 while keeping your Vette?
If someday I want to trade my Vette for another sports car, I will have both for a while. This is just in case if I want to go back to Vette, I don't get a hit on 2 set of trade-ins... In my case it is very likely that I never get apart from my Vette.

I work for Ford and have driven the new Mustang a lot.

The engine is much better then previous Mustangs. It is very fast in a straight line and pulls very hard, but if you like the track, forget it.

It still has the antiquated solid live rear axle. It is very easy to upset the rear end over the smallest little bumps in corners.

Definitely not in the same class as the C6 on the track.

Have you driven one yet for comparison?

If it was me though, I'd buy a used Z06 before I bought a new Mustang.....for about the same money.
I was into mustangs for many years, but its still a mustang and not a vette.

Here is something to think about. The 302 is pretty quick at a track.

Sorry, but that means nothing. Some of those results were YEARS apart.

It would be more acceptable if it were on the same day, with the same drivers.

I do understand that I will probably be flamed by some for thinking of changing to a different car, but that is ok. I am not brand specific as I own several kinds of brands and I just love cars.
A monster car for sure..and Ford hit one out of the park with the styling. Im sure in straight line you will be more than pleased but for auto cross and road racing .......................well you know

I think the new Boss 302 is a well prepared, 7500RPM BEAST. On paper.......

I have had 4 Mustang GT's in my younger years. They were the best bang for the buck cars back then! But know, Ford wants the same kind of money for a Shelby, Cobra, GT500...whatever they call their new and brightest Mustang, as Chevy wants for a Vette. In the end, it's still a Mustang, no matter how you dress it up, it will never = a Vette! Now that I'm "grown' and can afford a real sports car, I choose CORVETTE! Not bashing the Mustangs here, I'm sure they are better overall cars than past models, but it's like buying a Hyunai Gensis, it's still a Hyundai! No way will I ever pay 50+ K for a Hyundai or a Mustang!
