Impala window replacement
I have an '05 Impala that had its driver door destroyed in an accident a few years ago when some babe broadsided me. My dealership bodyshop did a good job fixing the car for around $10K. I was planning on taking the car in for service next week but today when I was retracting the window there was a loud "Bang!" and the window wouldn't move from a half down position.
Took the car home and tore the door apart but can't really get inside the inner door frame to the linkages. Seems like a cable broke free completey in there. I can push the window up and down manually but the motor won't work. So, took the car over and dropped it off today to include fixing the window.
Question: do any of you guys know if this linkage can be fixed given its inaccessibility or is a whole door replaced? I hope not but the access to the inner door cavity is so limited I don't see how much work can be done in there.
