Do Bug Deflectors Really Work?
No, not for my Corvette, rather for our new family SUV. I was checking out the accessory catalog and noticed they offer one of those 1-inch, smoke colored bug protectors that attach to the front of the hood. I would like to keep any type of road chips off the hood and was curious if these even work? I'm not an engineer, however I don't see how a 1" piece of plastic can help protect the entire hood. I guess it can stop a more direct, head on hit.
