Just what the title says. Reliable? Fun to drive? Quick? Fast? Comfortable? Compared to other cars owned?

Just recently got rid of a 135i. A test drive from a 335 though is what made me get into one. I loved every second of it. Handles great, very quick AND fast if you ask me. Compared to cars in its class I think it wins no questions asked. Mine was a 2008 though and got it for around $27k. Not sure what the new models perform like, just know they are expensive.

Every person that I speak with that has owned one says that it was one of their favorite if not the favorite car they have ever owned. I've checked out a few on cars/autotrader and can easily get into a gently used '11 with warranty for around $35-$39. Not cheap by any means but it is still within my budget.

Buy one. You'll never regret it. Just make sure you buy either a new one or a CPO, repair work can get pricey. But a 335i, with simple mods, will be quite quick, and handle on a dime. Absolute blast to drive.

I have an '07 E92, sport and premium package w/ 52k miles. The handling is damn near telepathic, 300lbs tq at ~1500+ RPM means you'll leave people sitting at the redlight in the dust without even intending too. My only issues are my angel eyes have gone out twice now in just over two years of ownership and I had the HPFP replaced twice under warranty but that seems to have been resolved with latest fix.

Supposedly the N54 engines are quicker than the newer N55s and even the new F30 cars.

I agree. 2-3 year old cpo cars can be had for a steal. As long as the mileage is around 40k or less you'll have a 60k/3-4 year warranty and save thousands.

Wife has an 07 335xi. The RWD coupe with a manual is probably more fun, but I flog her car to death, the AWD system is incredible. You can nail it from a dead stop, roll, or even within a turn in the rain and the car just sticks. I've driven a lot of cars and I can tell you this thing out accelerates and outhandles everything in its class.

They also have a warranty safe factory turbo upgrade that bumps it to 320 hp/330 ft-lbs. Local dealership sent me a coupon a few months back, $800 installed.

My 08 335i was my daily for over a year and is the best car I have ever owned. I gave it to my wife because I could not sell it. It is CPO etc, and I never even got an insulting lowball offer, so, I gave it to the wife and sold her Pathfinder which sold in 4 days.

(Doesn't make sense that I can sell something that gets horrible gas mileage in 4 days and not a car that gets 19-20mpg in town in 3 months)

Anyway, The car is CPO, but hasn't needed anything that would have been expensive except for the transmission gasket leaking which is common on these. BMW replaced the HPFP when it was turned in by the lessee.

The wife is happy, as she has had a 540 with the sport package and an M3 before and missed her old cars....

Had a 2007 335i with the sports package. Loved the car. Traded it for a 550i only because we needed the bigger car. Wish I had kept it along with the 550i.

Just got a 2008 CPO 335i sedan (auto, sport pkg). I put in the JB4 ECU tune and an intake and the car is a rocket. It's great having another fast car that has a different character than the Vette. It seems to be a very capable and fun daily car. I love it so far. My Vette is still my #1 car though.

I got it for under $26k w/34k miles.

My wife's dream car is a 335xi; white with gray interior. She is very specific about the color / interior combo. We can find CPO cars that are white but, the majority have the beige interior. I think we've only found one that had gray interior; unfortunately we weren't ready at the time.

Good to read you guys like the car. I brought a new one 2 years
ago. Its has about 2500 miles on it. Just drive it around town.
Fully loaded down to a ski bag LOL LOL

Been thinking about just trading it back in after the warranty.
Since don't drive the car, wonder if a seldom used BMW 335
is just as troublesome as a high mileage unit. Also have a
2010 328, as far as drive I like it better since smoother.
We got the saddle interior in both, on the 335 got the dark
blue exterior and sure hard to keep clean.

Both drive like other BMW's had, but no more fun than
the vette. Sport cars are Sport cars.

Wife drives a 335D with the M Sport package and she absolutely loves it!!!

Although skeptical at first I to have admit, the 425 ft lbs of TQ is a hoot to drive.
We have a 80 mile round trip commute each day, and the little twin turbo diesel averages 34 mpg.

I recently sold my 2007 335xi E90 to get my C6. It was a great car & they really are the perfect daily driver. Had the typical brake squeal issue that was fixed w/new pads under warranty & the trans leak that was also fixed under warranty.

With only BMS DCI & Cobb AP tune it went 12.9 @ 109 MPH w/a 1.9 60'

I am sure I will buy another eventually, but I gotta get an M5 first.

Looked for a used one of these for months!! Awesome, love it!

Here's mine '07 335. Previous owner lowered it, be careful as the ride deteriorates very quickly. JB3/JB4 is the only mandatory mod!

Replaced my stock yellow angel eyes with some GP Thunder 7500k bulbs today since my driver's side had burnt out. Looks like the newer bimmers, not bad for 20 bucks. Now for JB4 when I get some decent spending money
