Problem with Equinox Emission Control System
Minor problem right now, but wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the Equinox Emission Control System like I had on my wife's 011 Equinox. Have not put gas in it in about 2 weeks, but the orange engine icon on the speedometer stayed lit after we started the engine yesterday.
I took the gas cap off, then put it back on, tightened it until after the first click. Drove the car for about 4 or 5 miles, then added gas and made sure the gas cap was tight. Drove another 3-4 miles and back home. Light was still on. No problem with the engine hesitating, misfiring, or stalling.
Started the car about 3 hours later and the light didn't come on this time. Haven't started or driven yet today.
Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions?
