It was on the straight section of the track. Im not sure how he ended up in the wall
Yes I read both are in the hospital. Driver listed in critical condition but alive
The other guy is in much better shape

What happened to the guy on the end of the wall who was applauding,

You can seem him make a fast move backward just before impact.

He does try to get out of the way but if you look closely you'll actually see him laying on the ground after impact
If you look at the white fence you'll see him laying there

Can you imagine the G-forces with that type of impact? It's amazing anyone survived.
