I've just seen some pics of a very different kind of custom conversion that I thought I would share.
Someone with a lot of skill and time took a 1970 Chevelle and placed the body on a 2000 C5 chassis. The powertrain and interior are all C5 - the body is a Chevelle. You can see some of the steps here:

We are putting on our annual car show in a month from now, and he will be enterring his car. I'm not sure if I would want one, but nevertheless, some pretty amazing artwork.
