Amen!
I was looking at the tires hoping to see Pilot Super Sports (have a set on my SHO and love them) but I do not believe the tires shown on the new ATSV are PSS tires........ bummer
Meanwhile, considering all of the specs of the new caddy that is a 450 HP car 900 pounds lighter than my SHO daily driver is, but with 85 more HP; in comparison would be my current SHO equipped with a 6/speed manual, 625 HP and who knows how much more torque multiplication than what my Ford SHO has
I like my SHO, however no true American would purchase a Lexus RCF, M5 BMW, or a comparable AMG or Audi in place of this new Caddy dragon slayer that just happens to be made in America

I agree that the mechanical specs sound good, and that American cars are fully competitive with imports in that regard. However, I strongly dislike recent GM hot rod styling with all the silly looking scoops and bulges like on these ATSV pictures and on the C7. I hope they have some tastefully styled high performance cars available when it comes time to replace my current CTSV coupe. If I had to replace it now, I regret to say that I’d jump ship to BMW to avoid the "Hot Wheels" look.

My biggest concern is whether my golf clubs will fit in the trunk.

I’m getting up there at 67, but there’s a lot of disposable income in my age bracket, and I have to believe most of it doesn’t care for flashy scoops and bulges. Maybe they think the aging crowd doesn’t want performance, but a lot of historical Vette and CTSV sales argue otherwise. In the C6 years, you could get Vettes both ways, conservative and Grand Sport. Sales were about evenly split. With the C7, and now apparently with the ATSV, there’s no longer a choice. OK, fine, so the younger crowd is happier, and they may gain some sales there. But that leaves a lot of money on the table that will be heading for BMW and Mercedes, who still offer conservatively styled high performance options.

Um.. they shed that image several years ago. If anything, with the Escalade they now have a hip hop image (which is stupid since most Escalade owners are white people)
