500hp LS1/6sp `85 Trans Am
Ok, I am updating this post as I am aggressively dropping the price for a quick sale, and am including a more detailed description from the ebay auction. There are a bunch of high $$ items in this car, and you will likely not find another one like it.
Recently restored with LS1/6spd. conversion. Professionally dyno tuned by Jeremy Formato, making over 400hp at the wheels, or about 500hp at the engine. Extremely rare combination of the LS1 engine, 6 speed transmission, Carmine interior, T-tops, and the factory digital dash option. New PPG Victory Red paint. New LS1 engine built to spec with less than 500 miles. Ported heads with dual valve springs and new full length headers. Port matched intake. 42lb. injectors. New Z06 clutch. Subframe connectors. New front coils. Tubular Panhard bar, lower control arms, lower control arm relocation brackets, t\a girdle. Tic slave cylinder. Tilton clutch master cylinder. Nick Williams 96mm throttle body. Rebuilt transmission and 9 bolt Australian rear axle. Aluminum drive shaft. New Energy Suspension components. Hurst shifter. New tires front and rear. New carpet. New headliner. Working power locks, mirrors, and windows. New digital tachometer and oil pressure gauges mounted in pillar gauge pod. Working Monsoon CD player. The interior and exterior feel like new. Car is street legal, and currently has a valid PA license, and qualifies for the classic/antique car exemption.

FWIW - my old man had an '83 Cutlass Calais (pre-442) and he threw on a F-Bird steering wheel. The steering wheel brought back many memories.
WAAAY Cool ride...

Wow...that's an incredibly nice example. I had an 86 TA, many years ago. I always loved the body shape, it's just the rest of the car that was rough...lol.
Can't say I'd pay 18k for it but...I can appreciate the work and cost into it.
