Anyone want to see the Viper ACR pimp smack the Z06 like a street hoe...look here

The Z06 ran incredibly fast to say the least. It could run against just about anything and keep up...except the Viper ACR, which would literally beat ANYTHING around a racetrack. The car is friggin amazing!

In fairness, the ACR (and Viper in general) have always taken this approach to speed. There's no real mystery in putting massive aero, double adjustable coils and race parts on a car to go fast, all while beating your *** in the process.
What makes me aggravated though is, I GUARANTEE if Pratt and Miller were put forth to do a "Z06X" limited production (500 or less), they'd be bought before they were produced, and with that you could go out and wax some ***. You can't tell me that can't be done...horsesh*t.

The Viper is a fine car and meant to be a second car not a daily driver. In that role it is excellent. But a track only comparison really is just part of an automobiles role.

My brother owned a C5. In fact he has owned all but the C1 and 2. And I have driven them all a number of times. The C5 seemed to me to be more GT car and the C7 more pure sports car. The C5 ride was a bit softer. More importantly I've driven two Vipers. And just a little of the noise and bone jarring ride goes a long way. When I spoke of refinement I meant things like ride quality but also fit and finish.

He was referring to the Gen 5 Viper, which is the 2013 + model Viper. As far as comfort, refinement and daily driver friendliness they are light years ahead of the previous generations. You could daily drive a new Viper with little complaint.
Fit & finish is also on par if not better than the the C7. The leather and paint is known to be far superior to that of the C7.

Sorry. I misunderstood. As to the Viper as a daily driver as I said I drove two of them and they don't appeal to me. Not as a daily driver anyway. And the owners of both cars were open about poor build quality and numerous visits to the dealer. I mean no offense I'm sure lots of people love Vipers.

Honestly, I'd be more impressed with the C7Z if the car could run without breaking. I expect the Viper to be faster but, I'd just love to see the Z make consistent laps like the Viper can.
