I was just looking at Charger Hellcats for sale on Autotrader. Cheapest USED one has 6k miles on it & they want $64k!!! NEW MSRP is under $68k WTF?!?!
It is only because there is a high demand for them right now, dodge is doubling production on hellcats this year, there will be a point of over saturation , and you will see the prices dramatically drop, as does any car that is mass produced.
I'm not one of them only likes corvettes guys and bashes other brands. I believe the time it ran no problem. I seen big nasty A8 Z06 stock run a 10.4 so I think with similar bolt ons and sticky tires it could also crack into the 9's. What I don't understand is the 900+ rwhp with that mod list.
Most hellcats I've seen dyno anywhere from around 600-650 rwhp. Unless I am missing something in the mod list, I don't see how it could pick up an additional 250+rwhp with essentially a bolt on package and tune. No change of a bigger blower, not even porting the stock one. If those numbers are legit and that car don't blow up soon then dodge left a hell of a lot of power on the table and that's awesome.
I pulled a few cars on a well-driven 8A Charger Hellcat driven by my buddy from 140-150+mph. I have a C6 ZR1 though without the drag inducing aero of the C7 Z6.
Those Hellcats can haul the mail for sure. Very quick for a big sedan, very quick period actually. They sound incredible too.
Geez, those C7's are so damn slow up top.... relative to other cars with similar power.
Sure there are a few ringers that seem to impress but it seems like with the C7 Z06 you never know what you're gonna get. They are too damn inconsistent. The ones I've seen at the drag strip haven't trapped over 124... but everyone here will argue they are good for 130+ traps because of a few hero runs posted on youtube.

This is true. In the original video, look at the speedo climb in the triple digits. It's really slow.
EDIT: I timed the speedo from 114mph to 134mph and it was 5.65 seconds. Gives a whole new meaning to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ07.

You are talking a different ballgame I owned a 2010 ZR1, currently own a Gen 5 Viper TA, and a C7Z06, I can tell you with 100% certainty that the only current stock production American car(don't know what the new Ford GT will bring)that will stay with a C6 ZR1 on the top end is a non ACR gen 5 Viper.
Your video is Very accurate

Having checked with the Hellcat club, it seems that stock boost is 11.6 lbs., Linda's car has 18.8 lbs. of boost...I also believe it has been converted to run E85, which on an unmodified, completely stock Hellcat is documented here to produce 81 HP and 70 TQ more than stock numbers.
Evey 1 lb. of boost, depending on application, should be worth 10-20 HP...with E85 and the proper tune I would think 20 HP per lb. would be reasonable, so that an additional 140 HP over stock would be achieved. ALSO they have modified the TUNE so that the car shifts at 7000+ RPM which even when a stocker is dyno'd, the computer kills RPM between 6200-6400 RPM with most dyno's showing the motor is STILL PRODUCING HP and NOT falling off! Chrysler engineers have stated that those Hellcat motors all forged internals are good enough to hold about 1200 HP without any problems.
