Default Turned in Our Escalade ESV....

Lease was up and we didn't need something this long since two of our kids drive. Truck treated us well...50k miles we ran up and all I put into it was 3 tires. The 4th was free due to rim/tire protection. Original brakes were still holding out. Three warranty items and oil changes, filters were under Cadillac.

We actually used all the space in this beast and would tow and actually take it off road in deep sand on the beach and snow. Hopefully this video is attached...my son friends jacked up F150 got stuck in the sand trying to pull a je ski out. Hooked up my strap and pulled them out with Slade. To say this kids ego was deflated would be an understatement LOL!. Was looking to possibly downsize to something else but ended up with the shorter Escalade this time (2017).

I'm hoping this one serves as well as the 2015!

Here's the 2015....

Here the 2017...

I looked at the Tahoe and Denali...if you're leasing it's not a big difference in dollars per month and you get a 4 yr 50k warranty vs 3/36. Also free service on the Caddy for 3/36... Denali doesn't.
If you're buying one may want to look at a low mileage CPO car. Some pretty decent deals out there with piece of mind.

The Denali comes with 2yr/24K maintenance included.

I miss my escalade. It was a great truck that I sold many years ago. It did a wonderful job at whatever it was asked to do. Amazing road trip car and tow capacity. I can only imagine how much nicer the newer ones are.

That's about the right neighborhood... less for their low mileage lease. I did a 39 mos 15k mile a year lease just under 1k with tax etc.

I think the new Escalades are one of the prettiest vehicles on the road. Nice choice!

We did air down his tires...still couldn't pull out. Young kid that had one if the most embarrassing moments in front of 100's of people. People were shocked that an Escalade with factory 22's pulled him out. He almost got stuck another time a few minutes late with the tires aired down.
I also pulled a Jeep out a few years ago....so much for trail rated! An Escalade with traction control off and in 4x4 mode is a beast in deep sand on the beach. My wife drives on the beach like she's pulling into a mall parking lot. It's the 6.2 liter motor with gobs of torque that just pushes this thru. It's impressive.

Did you have any issues with the 22's? I've heard of steering vibration issues or something like that where the issue would go away when downsizing to a smaller diameter rim? One of these is on my short list for my wife's next vehicle. Great looking SUV, especially the new style front and rear LED's

I have a 2015 Yukon Denali (standard wheelbase) with the 22" wheels. No steering vibration issues, no buffeting, no balance issues, etc....... The 22" inch wheels/tires do ride a bit harsh compared to the 20" factory setup if you get on some broken pavement, expansion joints, etc.... The handling is better in terms of response. It's all a compromise. On a side note....... I did remove the factory Bridgestone Dueler Alenza tires after only 13K miles due to their sub par winter performance (they also sucked a$$ in the rain) . I replaced them with Michelin Defender LTX and it's night/day difference. I'd break the tires loose in 2wd in the rain constantly with the stockers, no issues with the Michelins, winter/snow traction is also a whole lot better. As an added bonus the Michelins are 10lbs/tire lighter which is also felt in everyday driving.

I've lucked out also with both of the Escalades without having the vibration/booming issues that many people have had. My 15 ESV did have a light vibration at low speed when the engine would switch from V8 to V4. The 17 I don't even sense it. I will say the long version was a bit smoother on the ride vs the shorter one...extra 2 feet in length helps!
