Gm zr1 me awd
https://www.autoblog.com/2017/11/17/...n-fastest-car/
maybe some day GM will connect the dots and offer a gas or hybrid or electric corvette with an AWD option.
Porsche 911[ awd[/B] been around a long time, and Tesla doesn't break the 0-60 in under 2 seconds without awd.
ZR1, GS, Z06, Z51 base no awd option on any
Maybe an awd option on an ME?

Different strokes for different folks. I personally prefer FE RWD. But maybe like you said, the ME will change that. Then I'll have to go elsewhere for my FE RWD needs

I would guess somewhere down the road AWD will be offered in the form of electric motors powering the front wheels.
Lamborghini has a hybrid and Porsche is considering a 911 hybrid. The Tesla has insane performance. As smaller electric motors and smaller more efficient batteries become available costs are reduced.

I think GM has noticed Tesla, and the other hybrid hyper cars. If they want to play on the world stage they should already have a front electric/rear gas hybrid awd vette, we just haven't seen it yet. An AWD electric assisted front wheel vette would be the ultimate winter beater.

The fastest sports car right now is a 2wd, rear engine, non electrified Porsche. Let' not forget that.
Tesla builds electric muscle cars. They don't turn, they don't have dynamics, they just accelerate. They'e the modern equivalent of a big block Nova.

I'm happy with the Corvette the way it is; if I want an electric sports car I'll buy a Tesla.
