Traded in my 2014 S6 for a 2017 SS....
Been looking at these Holden cars for many years and managed to get one of the last ones within a 300 mile radius from my home. They stopped building these cars and Chevy had a 20% off incentive during November!
Chevy SS is one helluva amazing car! Coming out of an Audi S6 the SS has a lot going for it! Thanks to Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg Md for making this deal work!
Back to loving a good ole small block V8 driving the rear wheels with 415 hp! Here's some pics....yes I will miss my S6 but the SS is going to be a lot Of fun! The only thing these cars have in common is V8 and the same color name. Both Audi and Chevrolet call it Phantom Black Metallic..

You are going to love the car I actually find driving ours to be more fun than any Corvette I owned in the last 15 years. The exhaust is awesome!

I love Audis... I've had the whole line....
Congrats on the SS..... I finally found one local enough and the dealer was asking 6k over sticker... lol ... Rare things are rare for a reason...lol. I ended up with an Infiniti Q50S redsport...awesome car great deal... I'd love to hear more about your SS
Good luck with it !!

I threw on a set of tires on my S6 ( got performance all seasons) and changed my brakes. Brake job at Audi is 3k as they want to change the rotors. Ordered EBC pads and had my friends shop change the pads. Other than that regular service which was prepaid for.
Look for mine... car was a great car and I may go back into another one in a couple of years. The only thing that happened was a small accident last month. Bumper cover and the passenger rear quarter needed to be straightened. I was full disclosure with the dealer and sent them pics.
Car averaged almost 20 mpg since I had it.

The S6 was pretty much bulletproof!! Bought mine when it was a year old as a CPO car with @4k miles on it. In less than 2 years I almost put 40k miles on it and that's why I got rid of it. In a year it would've had @65k miles on it and felt it was worth my while to trade it now...especially with the 20% off on the SS.

Ideally I want to grab a 2016, but I'm not sure yet, and won't pull the trigger for a few more months.

I was going to look at this S6 to replace mine. It's in Toms River which isn't to far from the Philly area. May want to check it out if it's in your budget!

The SS is one of the ultimate bang for the buck sedans out there bar none!!!!! I think you will likely miss the interior of the S6 as it's arguably one of the nicest interiors around. I think the SS may edge out the S6 in overall fun factor given it's RWD and is likely to be a more "playful" car. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy it in good health!!!!

I drive an S4 (2013 that I purchased new) and was very close to pulling the trigger on a new S6 order earlier this year. After some thinking and consideration I decided to wait as my S4 is still low mileage, paid off and I really still enjoy driving it. If/when you do decide to pull the trigger on the S6, definitely make sure it has the sports differential, it does wonders to make a relatively large car feel much more nimble/smaller. It also does very well at eliminating understeer that a car like that can be prone to. Another thing to keep in mind that the A6/S6 is due for an update so you might want to wait until all of the specs/release date are out. There seems to be significant evidence that it may be utilizing the turbo 5cyl that is being put in the TTRS?? The 4.0TT V8 is a great engine that leaves quite a bit on the table for tuning options.

I would be curious to know when the new model is released, because that will pressure prices on the outgoing one.
Also curious to see what they do with the design. I like the previous versions of the S4 and S5 more than the new ones (not that the new ones are bad, I just don't see them as improvements from a design perspective).

Be prepared for plenty of attention in the SS. Yesterday I drove over to my local FFL dealer to pick up a rifle that came in. Was waiting for the dealer in his driveway, fiddling around with the GPS and the engine was running. Guy pulls in, opens his door, and I gave the throttle just a tiny blip before shutting off the motor. He walks over and says......."What the hell is that ?" What kind of Impala is that? Like most people, he didn't have a clue Chevy even offered a car like the SS. Of course we had to talk for about 10 minutes about the car before we went inside. Showed him the LS3 and his eyes bugged out 1/2 inch.
Love this car!

It gets more attention than my C3. No one knows what this car is! I love to remote start and people just stare looking at it wondering did that sound just come out of that car? In three weeks it's gotten the best spots out front at A/C casinos and high end restaurants!!
