Default Any Volt owners?

I have a 99 blazer (first car) and my 07 Z06. Daily commute is 11 miles round trip and occasionally on a weekend drive 50 miles round trip to my parents. First gen volts seem like a good deal and I like the car. I need to read on volt forums about reliability/problems but wanted to get any Z06 owners thoughts on what you think or have heard about buying a used volt.

Thanks everyone!

I don't have a Volt but I sold my truck and bought a lease return Leaf as my daily. I really like it, and especially the idea of not having to do maintenance on two cars, I can save all my attention for the Z. I tried to test drive some used Volts as well, but none of the used Volts on the lot were charged. Really? As a hybrid I wasn't impressed. If I had to do it again I'd probably pick a Bolt instead of the Leaf for the extra miles (238mi range), but all in all I'm happy ditching an ICE car as my daily.

I traded my 13 volt in for my 13 gs haha. They are not bad cars........but they only take premium and the worst is the motor. It revs really high if the battery is dead and is annoying. And if your on the highway once you hit about 75-80 its gutless. But i will say it is a smooth riding quit car if the battery is charged.

Thanks for the replies. Before I looked too much I called about insurance. If I replaced my Z06 with the volt my insurance went up and if the volt is my third vehicle it adds about 70 a month. Seems high for one person and 3 cars.

Maybe add a fourth car?

Some very close friends of mine picked one up a couple of years back (I believe it's a 2013) and got a nice deal on it, they absolutely love it. Her commute has them only using battery power and occasionally some gasoline if she does extra driving that day that exceeds the battery range. It's not much of a performer but makes for a great commuter.

So? What is that? An extra $2 every time you fill it up? And, if you're using your Volt the right way, you should almost never be putting gas in it in the first place

I've put 40k miles on my 2014. Its fine for what it is. Its nice not worrying about cold starts and not worrying about making lots of short trips.

Found my wife a 2012 with 25,xxx to drive to work (24 mile round trip). She loves it and I really like it, much more than I thought I would. Even been considering getting myself one as my daily.
