I just pulled the alternator off a 89 GT to overhaul it.
I had one off a 89 LX already overhauled so I was just going to swap them while I cleaned up the GT part.
Both are Motorcraft castings.See PicThe left one (GT AOD) has a 1-3/4" pulley, the right one (LX 4spd) has a 2" pulley.
The cooling fans are also different.What is the significance of the differences?
