Default Cadillac CT6 and the C8

Just read news report that Cadillac president said it was misreported that the CT6 was going away. The plant where it is built is going away. They could either import the CT6 from China or find another location to build it.

Could Bowling Green become the new home of the CT6 with it being built along side the C8? Would think that there is room there for the dual production.

Only the newly announced CT6-V will have the 4.2L Blackwing. It is limited production and already sold out.

And the CT6 sold in China will be a 4 banger hybrid, that had no interest from buyers in the US..

Doubt it. The BG plant is going to be used for the FE C8, the ME Zora, and a Cadillac FE GT car based on either the C7 or C8 platform.
@ryryokeefe Did this overlay of the patent images of the Cadillac coupe over a C7.

If this Cadillac coupe does happen, it would be very unlikely that it gets it's own platform, and judging by how well it lines up with the C7...

This is just further proof of the 2 car (ME and FE Corvettes) theory.

There’s actually a less powerful Blackwing variant slated for a low-tier CT6.

Anyways, plan on the CT6 being produced in Lansing alongside the Camaro, CT5, and CT4.

Correct, it is a detuned Balckwing. That engine is also going to make it's way into other Cadillac vehicles beside the CT6. BG is going to be busy.

Not counting the V, it has three engine available, per the Cadillac website:
2.0LTurbo 237 HP
3.6 NA V6 335 HP
3.0 TT V6 404 HP

the first two are available in the two lower level trim options. The 3.0 is standard on the two top trim levels.

I think it is rude to provide false info. As previously stated, there is a detuned version of the Blackwing with 500 hp and 553 lb-ft in the Platinum trim level.

Just checked, you are correct. This is ludicrous. I will be contacting Cadillac first thing Tuesday morning and tell them to update their site. The CT6V is also not available on their site yet.

You can find the V here:

It includes limited info on the Blackwing.

Yes, what I meant is was no build and price yet. But now there likely will not be one because it is sold out.

I believe that Mark Reuss said they were exploring the idea of either importing the CT6 from China or moving the USA CT6 production to another USA plant. I doubt the ultra poor sales of the CT6 will warrant it being saved for the USA market.
I don't believe anything is final about saving the CT6 for the USA market..
