Love my Z06, but any Mustang fans?

I drove a 2017 GT premium with roush exhaust and xpipe 6 speed and I can’t stop thinking about this car! The sound is amazing and it’s just a very fun car to drive. My Z06 is King but thinking about trading in 2016 BMW 740i for a 2017 mustang GT premium!......I’m sure a lot think I’m crazy going from a 7 series to a teenager type mustang GT.
Most say y would you want a mustang when you already have a corvette?

The Mustang is like the hot annoying girl. Once you get over the exhaust note, you will regret your decision. But if you really want a Mustang and a Corvette, who's to stop you?

I like the new Mustang as well, and the exhaust note is musical. Still, the styling, look, and feel of the corvette is more impressive. That said, I am also contemplating the Mustang along with some other wheeled toys.

No thanks for snapping shift forks with the first 2-3 shift at WOT lol. So be careful with that. Plus i believe there's a difference of 30? hp between the 17 and 18. Price difference, at least around me between the 17 and 18 has been on average 3-4 grand. So might as well try to get the 18GT if you do get one.
I was debating on selling all my cars, even the Z, and just getting ONE car, that can do it all. Daily, weekend fun, still very fast, reliable, turns heads lol. But it's hard to really get a car, that fits all that.
So i'm stuck with having multiple cars. Not complaining. I think that's better for me. But the hunt for a fun, quick daily is still in the process. Idk what to get.

Rented a 17 vert for a 3 day trip... let's just say even though it had the highest option seats ventilated and all.... I was flared up for a week after. That mustang was a pos imo. The Camaro (which for it not the vettes existence would be in my garage) just destroys it inside and out. It's not even close man. Sorry.
But maybe it's more of a Chevy v Ford thing? But I own a VW too and the seats in that thing are fantastic as well as my mother's New Accord. So maybe not lol.

I'm in the same boat, but i'm looking at the 18+ GT's with the 10 speed auto.

i thought about the same too sell all my cars for the perfect one. And you just can’t. These days it’s like what car do I even buy next? Hence maybe why I’m going from a 7 series BMW to a Mustang GT lol.

In 2013, I had a 2012 Boss 302 and loved it on street and on track, but I wanted more
Shelby GT350 news came out in 2015 sounded perfect until all greedy Ford dealers wanted to charge hugh ADMs
so I was cured
I bought my first vette, a CPO 2012 Cent C6Z and WOW what an upgrade
and now I have a CPO 2017 M7 Z06
I'll probably never downgrade to a mustang again
I'm now watching the GT500 hype machine again...wow..."largest snake emblem"

You’re right. Ford dealers these days are all about who will pay more. This dealership sold a GT under me after I test drive it told them I’m getting lunch at Panera will be back and there was a new customer in the dang finance office when I pulled up. I was so upset I let that dealer know exactly how I felt and they prob talked there *** off about me.

This would be my 3rd vehicle so I really didn’t want to spend a whole lot or need anything brand new. I did look at the 18GT premiums and you are right maybe a 4-5k difference. But I wasn’t aware of the 2-3 shift issue. The 6 speed along with that exhaust and motor is what sold me. But still debating, my Z06 is an A8.

Owners are snapping forks at the FIRST WOT pull from 2-3 or 3-4. Basically it's the 3-4 gate that gets affected. Owners are still able to drive home but i think you can only use 1-2, 5-6 gears. The 3-4 gate is gone, it feels like there's no trans underneath the shifter, it's floppy lol. Alejando flores on youtube had the fork snap on him during his video. He was talking about the fork snapping, then was like, "let me do a pull and see what happens" or something. The first pull he did it snapped and he was like omg, wow, so it is true LMAO.
Go to 7:25 of the video. That was right before it happened lol

I just traded a 2017 GT350 for a 17 Z06 and don’t miss the 350 at all. The exhaust note was far more dynamic than the Z and I liked how I could manipulate a lot of pops and crackles out of the exhaust. Besides that the Vette is far more enjoyable driving experience. I was a tad concerned about giving up the “balance” of the 350, but after flogging the Z this weekend I have a lot of confidence in this car and love having the torque down low where the 350 lacked it until 4000 RPM’s.
How aboit fit and finish of the mustang? Absolute garbage for what I paid. Fake plastic stitching on the glareshield, bumpers sagging, poorly aligned panels, etc.

I'm not a Ford guy or for that matter even a Chevy guy even though I own one but I would care about what others think about your decisions. But whatever makes you happy!
