Plastic GM Mid engine car DOMINATES the drag strip
Guys,
It is the first GM mid engine plastic body car brought into the modern engine era and it dominates its peers at the drag strip.
No doubt the C8 will be better, but this is a LOT cheaper and as a sleeper - it might just be more fun...
Take a look.

OUCH... Come on man, cut me some slack...
Actually, 1.7 second 60' times. 11.80 seconds @ 114 mph.
No it won't touch Cleetus' LEROY, but it Dominates 99% of the souped up sport compacts, MR2's, etc. (its peers) and 95% of the late model $45k muscle cars that are all the rage.
If you are not even a little impressed.... That's. O.K.

I love to see quick Fiero's. What did you do to the engine and drive train to achieve that?

Thanks for the comment. Bought a hail damaged Buick Regal GS with a ton of hail damage and 150k miles. Engine had great oil pressure and compression. Added a small cam, different fuel pump, bigger injectors, easy tune, swapped it into the fiero along with the 4t65e hd tranny and PCM. 11.8 at 113.5 all day long. Have about 4500 total into the build including the car... Fun cheap never ending project car!!

I messed with a few 3800s back when I was still around Fieros. It didn't take the community long to figure out that if you forgo having the supercharger and slap on a turbo you can make an L67 a bit faster, but most still ultimately use a 4T65E to push them. 10s are very much obtainable and a very small select few have very high 9s. That's pretty incredible for whats effectively a FWD platform shoved to the rear mid section of the car.
I don't think people realize how impressive being able to go 10s in a six cylinder drive train built in the 1990s that in most cases people spend well under $5K truly is. It's utterly astounding.

I have only seen a couple of those and not recently.
They were a fairly popular swap for a while - and unique.
I believe the SC 3800 ultimately was a cheaper, easier and better performing option as time went on.

I realize I am very late finding this posting but have to say...wow! Thank you so much. Just curious, what was the outcome of the last race run against that orange Hemi Cuda? The video ends before showing. I always liked the Fiero.

Sorry I missed this first time around, but that is very cool. I might be biased however.

If I remember right he got me by 3 cars at the end.
A lot of these guys come over later to see what is powering the Fiero into the 11's. It is a good conversation starter. Of course I check out their cars too because they area all cool!
