Default Cybertruck now officially in Production.

First Cybertruck rolled off the assembly lines. First deliveries in Q3.
Now, where are the people who claimed that it won't happen?

I wonder how many people that buy one will actually use it as a truck.

Ugliest thing on the road...makes the Aztec look desirable. This is an experiment on the idiocy of lemmings wearing people suits who will buy anything that social media calls "cool".

Seriously, this thing is butt f**king ugly and people are actually excited about this...I guess all the people who think their electric minivan Model X's are cool would be first in line for the fugly-est vehicles they can buy. Elon is a genius at marketing to these people. Of course if you need to be seen as a hard core virtue signaler this thing will definitely be impossible to not see. People think the Rivian is ugly because of its headlights...two lights make it ugly...this whole thing is poor taste and design mashed together into an amalgamation of everything ever considered ugly and then ramps it up to 11.

*sarcasm* Man I can't wait for all the soccer moms in my neck of the woods to start driving these things around like they do their current model y's.

How many companies do you know who hide their star product in its first production photo? Classic.

Interesting, Ford just announced a $10K price cut on their EV Lightning.

They are panicking... Model Y is much cheaper than the Mach E and Mach E's are building up on their lots...
If the Cybertruck is much cheaper than Lightning, those will fill up the dealer's lots as well. Lucky for them, Cybertruck is not in MASS PRODUCTION yet.. It may take a few months to reach full speed..

Both of my dealers have like 6 lightnings sitting on their lots. Maybe more. These are customer.ordered vehicles that they don't want. With that terrible center screen, scary bad brakes, and a HUGE payment with high interest rates for a truck that really can only do home Depot runs effectively, it's not surprising.

Ford is gonna need to cut like 20-30k off the MSRP of Lightning to sell it in this market.

I can’t imagine too many EV truck buyers would be ‘cross shopping’ the Lightning and the Cybertruck. The lighting is still basically like every other F150 and 1/2 ton truck on the road, just not ICE powered.

The Cybertruck is going to be in its own market from what I see. You either love those things, or you hate them.

Cyber truck is too ugly to buy. Honestly it should be illegal for them to sell them they're so ugly..luckily, only people in places like the bay area or Austin will drive them. People with any sense or taste will be disgusted by them.

They will sell every single one that they can produce and production capacity will be the only thing that will hold it back. It's not a beautiful truck. However, I would not call it "UGLY". It looks like something out of a movie like Mad Max etc. It's COOL, not beautiful.
There are like 2 Million pre-orders. If only 30% will actually go through with a purchase, the truck will be sold out for years.

You mean those $100, fully refundable deposit pre-orders….right? That’s a pretty serious commitment….lol

Yeah I’m sure a small fraction of that will turn into actual orders. I’d be surprised if they sold even 25k next year.
