Default Upholsterer???

Anyone know of a first rate upholsterer? Seem to be a dying breed. I was mid project and my guy took ill. Great guy, but won't be back until July.

I have the hand formed metal forms for the door panels (with studs).... just need to upholster and install them. I want a first class job....there must be someone out there who can finish this job for me...?

Can't speak from experience, but Hoglunds up in Everett has been around for a while, they must be doing something right. www.hoglunds-topshop.com, probably worth a phone call.

I recently had Hoglunds repair my driver's seat bottom bolster as it had broken down after five years of climbing in and out.

Instead of installing new foam they simply glued the two pieces back together they said had split.

Although it looks better it still doesn't match the other side and consequently I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Just my .02

Pat

Mac's Upholstery in Ballard has been around forever and they do great work. I started using them in 1982, when I was 16 and brought my '77 Trans Am to them. My most recent project for them was two living room chairs.

Thanks guys! Really appreciate your input. Indeed, as a result of your help I found the guy I'd been looking for more than a year John Herold...owned his own shop in Redmond and worked on my C5....as well as a new contact Jim Kenney...both at Sunmark in Kirkland...sister company to Mac's in Ballard.

Anyway, thanks again. Only With your input....the Forum works...thanks to you!
