Default There's no place like home...

Grandson and I have been down here in the Bay Area for 2 days with 3 to go...visiting my brother who lives here and his grandson up from SoCal. Talk about hot hot hot! Except for last night in San Francisco for the fireworks display...got pretty cold down there near the GG Bridge (Marina Green for those who know the area.)

No matter how much fun we're having, kinda wish I was back in the (relatively) cooler, more tranquil PNW. Going to more hot weather in Fresno to see my sister on Saturday. She called and said it's about 110 or so these days. Well, how bad can a quick one day visit be?

In all the running around we've done here and even on the trip down in the Jeep, we've seen a grand total of about 6 Vettes. Where are they all? Maybe it's too hot for 'em here? Maybe Cali Vette owners only take 'em out when it's below 80 degrees?

Oh well. Back home on Monday. Gracias a Dios...

Have a safe trip!

Are you planning to drive hwy 1? It's a blast, but it is relentless, particularly if there is an RV in front of you.

Actually we're going straight up I5. Wifey has to be back for Monday morning work...

I've done the Hwy 1 route in a TR7 many years ago (1976) and it indeed was a blast. The roads and the handling of that car made for one great fun twisty ride. Just enough power to provide some excitement but not enough to get you into trouble...

There are lots of Corvettes in the Bay Area. The first weekend of June there was the annual Corvette Magic that took over the Sacramento Race track on that Sunday. There were 174 cars (Corvettes only) that raced that day...and lots in the parking lot that just stopped to watch.

Enjoy your trip. Fresno is always HOT in the summer. I have been down here for 25 years now, but still miss my trees. Still have family in the Tacoma area.

Whew! It was "only" 101 today in Fresno.

Made it back here OK to Fremont...saw many really good-looking Vettes on the way down coming across 152 early this afternoon...

Have a great trip to Florida, vetred...
