Mt St Helens/Windy Ridge Tour July 14
Corvettes de Olympia is doing a day tour on Saturday, July 14th to Windy Ridge Viewpoint at Mt St Helens. Leaving from Royal Bean Coffee Shop, 704 Tumwater Blvd., Tumwater, WA (take I-5 Exit 101 and go east on Tumwater Blvd. Coffee shop is just past traffic light at Linderson Way on the right) at 9 AM. Going Old Hwy 99 south to Hwy 12 east to Randle and up to the mountain. Lunch at the Cascade Peaks Viewpoint Gift Shop (or bring your own) then ending up at Woodland on I-5. Great drive on roads that Corvettes were built for, tight turns and hairpin corners. Bring your camera. About 285 miles round trip from Olympia. You're welcome to come along.

I highly recommend the Mt St Helens drive. I did it for the first time a couple of years ago (with the club) and was amazed at how beautiful it is up there. If you have a fear of heights it may not be the road for you, the edge of the road in some areas is very near the edge of the mountain. I had no problem with it but my passenger was a little worried. Then again maybe it was my driving that bothered him.
The Mt St Helens drive and the Crater Lake rim drive are two of my all time Corvette favorites. There's also the Chuckanut Drive route from Burlington, Wa up to Bellingham, and then there's the.......

Yup, I love that Chuckanutt/Larabee drive too. Sometimes I go up to Bhm for Thai food - just to take the drive along the coast.
I'll meet up with you guys tomorrow @ 9.

fun day of driving! glad to see everyone likes to run their cars hard like me. much different from some other clubs i've been around. gonna crawl under her today to see if any damage was sustained from the boulders i ran over
the topper of the day for me was coming up on a yellow murcielago in bellevue on the way home. needless to say that was the fastest trip ever between bellevue and kirkland. hopefully i had the dude questioning himself on why he couldn't pull on a vette

Thanks to all that came along with us! It was a fun ride. Fun road to drive. The motorcycle community rates Washington State roads for fun to drive and this road is rated No. 3. I got to find Numbers 1 & 2. Thanks again!

Is that a picture of your car in your aviator? Or is a picture of a limp wrist car?
I can't tell, looks like the photo was taken in SF?
Help a brother out?
Are you or aren't you?
Is your other car Pink?
Thanks, Bob
