Anyone know anything about Marysville Speed n' Custom. They have a chassis dyno and several decent hotrods setting around. I am thinking of having some work done their. Any input would be appreciated.

The shop is in between Smokey Point and Marysville but they have Marysville in their name!

The shop is owned by two gentlemen both named "Dan" the dyno they have is a Dynojet model 248C above ground dyno.

The shop is currently located at:
13319 38th Ave NE
Bldg #2 Suite C&C
Marysville, WA 98271

Here is a link to their website: Marysville Speed n' Custom

Currently they have a very nice brand new building being constructed that is almost complete located in Arlington (if I remember right, but it may be Smokey point area). Once their new facility is complete, they will be moving from their current location into the new building. They will be having a grand opening party for past and current customs which I will be attending.

I did a lot of business with them on my last car that I had which included installing a custom fully built long block (blue printed, balanced, forged rods, forged lower compression pistons, plasmoly piston rings, crank, port & polished heads/lower intake manifold, 1mm oversized intake/exhaust valves, titanium retainers, valve springs) Eaton supercharger, water to air intercooler setup, alcohol injection, race clutch and flywheel, limited slip differential, headers, high flow cats and catback exhaust, etc, etc, etc and more.

I was happy with their service most of the time, the times that I wasn't I made it clear to them that I wasn't and they always made sure that I did leave happy.

Any time you have a shop do the amount of work that they did on my car you are always going to have some kind of issue rear its ugly head. It’s inevitable. How a shop corrects those issues to make the project right and the customer happy makes the difference between a good shop (that continues to grow and expand, which they are) and a shop that goes out of business shortly after opening!

All in all I would say to you to drive to the shop and introduce yourself to Dan and Dan. They will ask you what your plans and goals are for your project and outline a plan for you to reach those goals. If you walk away from your visit feeling warm and fuzzy then pull the trigger man and go for it.

I am actually going to be setting up a dyno/BBQ day for a group of my coworkers to attend in March. I have no doubt that Dan and Dan will do their best to make it a fun day for us all
