This seems like a pretty long ban as he was banned before Christmas He's even a paid Lifetime Member with over 17k posts too...
Well Jeff if you are reading these forums still I just wanted to let you know I noticed you were gone and was wondering why you hadn't been let back in as it's been a long time
I can't say for sure but a couple of his threads he was posting in were locked on the day he got banned. From what I can see it wasn't anything bad that he did...that's why I think the length of the ban is a bit extreme, but I'm not sure

Its not usually what you see that got someone banned. Its what you don't see. They will delete the offending posts.

I don't think he was banned for anything. I host another forum, so I emailed him on the address he has on my forum. I just got a reply from him this morning, and he has been busy doing other things. So, not to worry....he's still around....lurking.
I was mistaken...you are correct about the ban...seems it is permanant.
Bummer. I don't think I ever met him in person, but he seemed like an alright guy. I remember him getting on the case of one of the non-Corvette owning C4 bashers in OT - as well he should have. Hope that wasn't the reason for the permaban
The Forum has lost one of the most knowledgeable ZR-1 guys around. Of course, CF's loss is some other forum's gain. It's also my understanding that there are a fair number of C4 guys who have been banned as well.
It is my opinion that there are some moderators around that may not be thinking about the big picture in its proper context here. The Forum is not "free". It's owned by Internet Brands, and as such, it is our privilege, not right, to be here. But I think that there are some moderators who may not be thinking about IB's bottom line when they do some things, and are merely doing it for their own ego.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
