Well it’s that time I’m off to Gulf for about 8 months. The vette is going into storage tomorrow. I had tons of fun this last year and met alot of great people. Everyone I met had amazing cars and represent America in a big way. Ill take my obsession with me and plan of day to return.
My vette may not be the newest or greatest but has made me happy. I just found out I rank #1 for LT1 Corvettes on Car domain. SO I can’t be doing that bad.
Ed, I hope you have a very safe 8 months and I hope the time goes by quickly for you.
It was a blast getting to hang out and cruise with you on the last couple events I went on
No doubt you will have some good times and bad on your 8 month journey, but life is short so make the best of it Take the time to really enjoy any ports you hit and take the great opportunity to experience the different cultures. I know I definately tried to always do that whenever the Army sent me "away"
Gulf?? Sorry, I don't know where you are going......
But I know you are serving your country and we all thank you tremendously. Seriously. .....thank YOU!!
That C4 is beautiful and I appreciate your interior photos. While I've never driven one, I can can tell the designers really wanted to duplicate being in a jet-fighter, even more than the design of the C-5. I'm actually impressed with the effort. Oh....you see, this C5 is my first 'Vette.
So.....come home safely.....and thank you....I give my best wishes to your family and loved ones.....do what you need to to keep them happy!
Be safe and come back home. Thank you for your service! I am glad the North and South folks got together and we had a chance to have lunch. I am sure you will be thinking about the search for the C6 when you return. If you have access, please check in here.
Please post periodically on the forum while in the gulf. Know that your Corvette friends are concerned for your well being and have a tremendous amount of respect for the job you will be doing, and the overall long-term impact of it.
Ed be safe my friend. We'll be counting the days till you are safely back with us. Tell your comrades we are proud and grateful for all you are doing. Stay in touch as much as you can.

FC, Hang in there buddy. From one Veteran to another, "Wear Condoms" hahahhaahaha just kidding! Although i have been to Lumut, Malaysia on A navy ship and it was quite fun. Anyway, take care bro, and make sure the Jarheads get fed well ok? Hahahaha! Lata!
It was good meeting you at the cruise a few weeks ago. I was in the Air Force not too long ago and deployments were only 4-6 months long. And I thought that was too long. Good luck to you.
