are there any clubs or just people who casually meet in or around kitsap county? I've been dying for awhile trying to find more people who love the vette as much as i do, plus looking to learn more about this amazing machine. I'm in Port Orchard and fresh out of the Air Force, getting kind of bored and i really only see a "few" vettes around here
Check out Glass Odyssey Corvette Club in Silverdale http://kitsapvettes.org/ Great club with very nice members.
Once the sprintime hits, you 'll find lots of things going on in the greater Puget Sound area. cruises, shows, autocross and Corvette lovers just getting together on a nice day.
if the vette club doesnt work out for ya, there are always Camaro guys around that wouldnt mind you hanging out with them
I know of several members in our Camaro club that own vettes Including my husband & I (we own two)
I believe the car show/BBQ
doesn't start until around May,
and goes thru the Summer. It maybe
the 1st Tue of the month, but I
don't have the calendar in front
of me. Call Weatsound Brenemrton
branch and they can tell you: great
cars and people.
Also, there are cruise-in at Bucks
A&W in Port Orchard. They were
suppose to close, but the community
bailed them out They are located at the
base of Mile Hill Road at Mclendon's hardware.
In June or or the end of May is The All Chevy
Car Show at the Bremerton International Raceway,
it is sponsered by Grey Chevrolet in Port Orchard.
Call them for the exact date. They are also great
people to deal with, and have an excellant service
dept w/a dedicated Vette tech. Check them
out and go visit Mike, the service manager.
Tell him Jon sent you in to chat and check
out his service dept. (STAY AWAY FROM
TODAY CHEVROLET in Bremerton). He is a
"real" car guy with an excellent staff.

Buck is stiill operating and the Wednesday Cruises start close to the middle of May.....I think. Jon, do you know when that starts? It's mostly hot rods, but there are a few Corvettes there at times.
And yes, definitely stay away from Today Chev. Grey gets my Corvette business.

Their shop is totally inept IMHO. And they absolutely will not let you back to talk to the mechanic. You have to talk to the bimbo or the moron at the service kiosk. At Grey, you can go back anbd talk to the guy doing the work and sometimes, that's very important when trying to troubleshopot a problem. Also, if you are buying a rig at Today....bring money...there are no deals, and having dealt with them I don't like their "closer"..if you know what I mean. I just don't like the way they do business period. I have never had any Corvette work done there because I don't trust them. I have had Grey replace a damper pully and they did it right the first time.
I am very fimiliar with Bucks since i am born/raised in Port Orchard, what an amazing thing that the community pulled together and saved them! I actually used to be in the wednesday night cruise about 10 years back but then left for the military, and im back now. So, i wil definately be in those when they start back up. thanks alot for the other ideas as well, hope to see u all out there

Keith, I bought my C5 from them, 5 years ago. I never had a problem with them, but back then, GM was making money. I suspect they have changed some of the ways they operate but I think if you scour these forums you will find no one much likes the dealerships.
By the way, I always talked to the mechanics there. Of course there was the bimbo at the desk, but she had big ***** and was cute.
