Default Help :)

Before I go digging through countless pages on the tech and general section I thought I'd ask my friends

Got out of car this morning and noticed my antenna was still up? Got back in car, turned car on and off....heard motor do it's thing but antenna stayed up.

Thoughts?

Don't have much experience with electric antennas. Sounds like it has failed though. My guess the gear wheel that drives the antenna up and down is made out of plastic and the teeth have worn of. Similar to what happens to 4th gen f-body pop up headlight motors.

Joe you are correct!!! I've had this problem in the past also!

Adam, search local junk yards you should be able to find a motor for the power antenna...fairly cheap. No need to go by a new OME for 5 times the price!

Joe and Laurie are gonna be all like How about bringing some paint brushes and painting our damn house for us GTG or mow our yard and clean the pool GTG. Do ya see where I'm goning with this. LOL

If we minded we sure as heck wouldn't keep inviting everyone over. Part of owning a Corvette or just being an enthusiast for that matter is meeting like minded people and enjoying each others company. Is it the 4th yet!!

I know you don't mind and I know everyone appreciates it. I enjoy these casual get togethers so much more than the car show thing. I used to do them almost every weekend and took my GTO to two national shows back east and I just got completly burned out on it. So thank you Joe and Laurie for having us all over. I've been working 12 and 13 hour days to finish up what we are doing on the Lincoln Aircraft carrier and I am gonna be ready to kick back next weekend with everyone.
