Default Finally!!!

I just picked up my first Corvette!!!! After owning 3 F-Bodies over the last 6 years, I finally upgraded to what I have always wanted. It's a '99 6-speed coupe with black leather. I have small things I want to do to it and definitely look forward to picking all your brains on how to achieve my goals for the car. Here is a little picture history of my past cars that got me to here. The picture of my new car is horrible and promise to get some new ones up as soon as possible......

SS is still in the driveway but currently up for sale. Hoping to get rid of it soon so I can free up some dough for mods to the Vette.

If I remember from your posting on LS1tech you bought the SS with the hood and spoiler missing? Had to confirm it was an SS to begin with?

Yep, had to call SLP with the Vin to confirm it was and it indeed is. I was going to make it a fun project car but I couldn't pass up on the C5 when my wife gave me the ok to get it.

Good on you! You won't regret it one bit. I love the Pewter metallic....it shows the lines of the car very well in all kinds of light.

Now, about those wagon wheels!

You're going to be very happy...

Yes sir that was me who was there! And yes the wagon wheels should be gone soon. I am actually trying to trade the Z06 wheels that are on the SS for some stock C6 wheels. If I can't find a trade I will be putting the Z06 wheels on

Welcome! I think you'll really enjoy your C5. That is a great car.

I also sold my 2002 SS 35th Anniversary Camaro to get my new Vette.

My progression has been:
1992 IROC
1995 Corvette Coupe - sold due to motorcycle accident in 1996
1997 30th Anniversary Camaro
2003 Corvette Coupe
2002 SS 35th Anniversary Camaro convertible, and now
2008 Corvette Coupe

Pewter is a very easy color to take care of and it brings out the lines of the car very nicely......I get lot's of compliments about it being a "classy" color. With a legal tint , it looks even better yet.

Congrats man....you are totally gonna love your car. I do mine.
