Hey guys (specifically GTG gang)~
I wanted to throw the word out regarding a cool thing we're doing at my church. Now before you stop reading and please do finish this. We're doing a thing for Father's Day that will include a car show with food and rootbeer floats at the end. There are two vette's in my church as well as a few classic cars. If there are any of you that have no plans on Father's Day I'd love it if some vette's could show up and be part of it. We're blocking off part of our parking lot for it. No one will have to go inside and attend service or anything just show up, raise the hood and let guys and kids look at your car. If anyone would be interested in doing it PLEASE let me know.....I really think this would be a cool thing and my pastor is really excited about the possibility of getting some great cars out there. Thanks for reading!
One of the local churches does the same thing, here in Olympia like the 3rd weekend of Sept, they have cars & church Its called hot rods & Hot dogs, You pay for the food but thats it. its a fun event.
Plus there use to be a show on fathers day up by the muckleshoot, (just up the hill) about 200 cars showed up to that one, was free if you donated food or $10.
Always a great show, they stopped doing it because the lack of intrested in keeping it going.
Always looking for something to do that weekend, let us know & I will forward it on to our camaro club.
So I have a few more details about the event....
It's going to be going on both services(we have 2) which are 8:45 and 10:30. A majority of our church comes to the 2nd service. But the plan is to have the cars/motorcycles out there the whole time. We are blocking off a section of our parking lot for it. I believe there will still be free food and rootbeer floats....
So ya, if anyone is interested in coming and showing their vette in a casual type setting(these people love looking at mine and it's not as great as some of yours) then show up and hang out

One again this a very chill event, and you're not required to come inside. Just show up with your shiny vette OR other cool classic car. Park in the area designated for you and hang out. Our second service is 10:30 so people will be checking the cars out as they arrive. The service usually lets out about noon and then it will be a full on viewing, chatting, food, floats, etc...No awards, just fun. Our leadership at church just wanted to give people an opportunity to look at some cool cars. There are 2 vettes, a couple porche's at my church, expecting a classic truck and maybe even some motorcycles.
