Any of you folks attend a Spring Mountain Driving School outside of Vegas? Either Level 1 or 2 of their Corvette driving school?

Your thoughts and recomdations...

There have been many rave, positive reviews/reports written in C6 General if you do an Advanced Search for Spring Mountain.

I attended the school Nov. 2008 and felt it was a worthy time. Stay in Pahrump as it is too far from Vegas and you are tired at the end of the day. They have changed up the class some since I went and Ron Fellows is now more involved. I took the Advanced Driving School level one and came a way a much better driver. Many in the class thought they were good but got put in their place real quick. It is very well worth it and it could save your car or your life. You will be a faster in control and better driver for it. You will learn how much difference a good driver makes in time.

Default Spring Mtn vs Bondurant

I have attended the Spring Mauntain Level 1 3 day course and the Bondurant High Preformance Driving 3 day course. The Spring Mountain course is far superior. Spring Mountain has a system that teaches you in a mithidical mannor that prepares you for the track through exercises and lead follow laps that get you ready for the track (and it is a great one) alone. By the third day you are runing laps on your own with help if you need it with instructor ride alongs and radios in the car to get you feedback when you need/want it. The is a first class school. they taylor it to your needs. At Bondurant the instrcton was okay but the instructor to student was higher adn there was more time spent with accident avodance than car control and preperation for the track, When we finally got on the road course I was not well prepared and unconfortable. I actually levt the track after a few laps to rest. I did not need any resting a Spring Mountain with plenty of track time.

If you get a chance to go to Spring Mountain do it you will have a great time, be confortable, well trained and dying to go back for the next level.

Thanks, Spring Mountain

+1 for Spring Mountain.

One warning: I got hooked so much that I eventually bought a car to race. You can't beat the adrenaline rush!!

The instructors encourage you to drive the cars hard so that you learn more.

The drills involving ABS on and off functions are great. It is a great tool for leaning how to control your car.
