I'm in the Tacoma WA. area. Can anyone recommend a shop for the routine maintenance or do you go to your local dealer? If dealership do they effect your tunes?
If you have a 1953 the answer could be much different than for a 1984 or a 1999.
If you have a C5 the routine manitenance, according to the owners manual, is to change the oil regularly and clean the air filter every 15000 miles and replace it every 30000 miles. At 5 years or 100,000 miles change the coolant and at 100,000 miles replace the spark plugs and plug wires, which can all be done by the owner.
Give us more info on your car and you should get some helpful answers.
Knowing your vehicle information helps a lot. GM recommended maintenance can be different based on the year of the car and generation.
And you don't have to include your vehicle info on every thread, you should fill out your profile where there are fields for vehicle information. You can also use your "signature" to list any mods the car may have.
I'm sorry I was out of town picking up my new (to me) 2007 Coupe Lemans blue. Drove it 2000 miles home from Oklahoma. Very impressed not one little issue.
I will update my profile and add some pictures when I figure it out. Now just looking fro some badly needed tires and a good tune. Car has CAI, headers, Corsa tires. 19000 miles.
I asume the maintenance schedule is fairly simple, but I just hate taking it to most dealerships.
