Default Goodbye PNW

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I am done with the Navy,
So I must say adieu...

On Aug 29th I am officially on terminal leave, ending a very robust 8 years active duty. I have been many places, experienced many things and have to thank Uncle Sam for forging me into what I am today.
One place I will never forget is the good ole PNW and this forums' members from the area. I enjoyed my time here (well when it wasnt raining) and the people I have met. Thank you guys for making my time here enjoyable.
Aug 31st My brother, best friend, and I are departing on an epic adventure to Oklahoma. We are driving my M35A2 6 wheel drive Multi-fuel retired military 2.5 ton cargo truck with my Corvette in the bed and towing an M105A2 3-ton trailer with all of my personal belongings. We are going up the "Beartooth Highway", into Yellowstone for camping, then on to Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore and several other stops for camping. Trip plan is 9 days, 2270 miles, and 325 gallons of fuel (diesel, gas, oil, veggie oil, hydraulic fluid, whatever we come across). With a top speed of 55 mph, we will have plenty of time to see the country side and enjoy what the three of us have all sacrificed to protect.

I will be moving on to the Southwest regional forum, and will still continue to be a member on the Corvette Forum. I will miss the beautiful mountain views, the abundance of coffee and most of all, I will miss all of you.

Thanks everyone! Stay dry!

-Jonathan Anderson

Thanks for your service - really. Have fun on your adventure and be sure to keep in touch.

Please do remain in touch via the NW Forum. Maybe the next time some of us bitch about the rain and the gray skies, you can remind us that we don't have Tornadoes. Sorry.

Be safe and don't drive like Poodle Girl...

Good luck wherever life takes you next. I hit 8 years in the Navy this Friday, and share the same gratitude for the positive changes I've gone through while serving. Don't hesitate to post here if you need any help along the way. I'm also very active on another board (for my Typhoon) and they're very grateful for servicemembers, too.

I don't think you will make it as a poet, so keep your day job whatever it might be. As above, thanks for your time in uniform.

OK, you gotta show us photos of the monster you are driving home?????

Front diff seals? I haven't had any of those leak on me. I'll look into it though. Usually, it's a wheel cylinder, axle boot, or fuel pump.

Oh crap! I am so sorry. If I would have seen it I would have cleaned it immediately! It has a 'slobber tube' instead if a pcv, I guess after the long drive it's must have had some excess and probably dripped right out. I know youre environmentally friendly and that makes me feel even worse. Again I am extremely sorry!

No problem! It cleaned up easily with some Dawn and the pressure washer.
