Default Road trip

We've been on a road trip from San Diego to Vettes on the Rockies, to Calgary and Banff, Canada. Today we visit Vancouver and then move on to Victoria. Saturday we plan to cross back to the U.S. at Port Angeles and drive down the coast on Hwy 101 & 1.

Any events going on along the coast on Saturday or Sunday?

This is a fishing town about 30 min. off hwy 101. If you check a map you can see how the road follows the water and connects with 101 farther south. Some friends are going but we're not sure if we are or not. Enjoy your trip down the coast, it's a great drive with a lot of neat places to visit.

We came through Whistler on the way to Vancouver from Banff...whew, what a town. Can't stay for the event as we will need to head south in a couple of days.

Not sure if we can make it over there, but if time allows, we'll check it out. Thanks.

We made it to Westport yesterday about noon and parked down by the pier area (full of people for their annual art festival) for some lunch. While we were having some great seafood, some Vettes started driving by and it was quickly evident we were too late for the show. Did see some very nice C1, C2, C3, C5 & C6's drive by. Didn't spot any C4's.

Continuing south today. We'll check out the kite festival in Long Beach on the way down.
waving,
Bob
glad to be back in the good ol' US of A.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure I spotted your blue 61 parked near the piers just across from the esplanade; VERY sharp! Mine was the Monterey Red 07 ragtop parked just a few spots down from yours...considerably more dirty and sporting California plates.

Oh, that was you. I saw the car but spaced out and didn't notice the plate. It would have been fun to at least say hi. Be safe and enjoy the road, wish I was headed down 101, I'm envious.
