Not that I want one, but I saw a strange car yesterday in front of our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Wilsonville.
At first I thought it was a Rolls. Big flat front, it was painted metallic red on top over trunk, top and hood, and rest silver. Had a big "S" on emblem and almost a Chrysler like emblem. I was in a hurry to meet a friend for lunch buffet and forget the name on the emblem and it was gone when i came out (spike, strike,????). Just for curiosity, does anybody know what it is??
If it was a four door it was probably a Chrysler 300 pimped out.
The 300 is available in SRT/8 trim but I don't know if the "S:" you say in the emblem is part of the package. Now that Rolls Royce seems to be some sort of campaign to make their cars exceedingly ugly, the Chrysler does appear to look somewhat like a RR. From your description (different color on hood top and, especially, trunk) I am even more inclined to agree with Fred. Did it have a grille that looked a bit like the cyclone fence, like the one I used to see every day when I visited Poodle Girl at the Humane Society during her "dark period"?
Besides, why would anyone park a Rolls in front of a Chinese Resturant? I would, but I can't afford a Rolls. I don't think I can afford a Chrysler 300 either, but if I could I'd happily park it in front of a Chinese Resturant. Now that I'm retired and hanging out with Fred and Poodle Girl, i'm not sure I can afford a meal at a Chinese resturant either. I'm usually bereft of funding as soon as Poodle Girl orders the second round of single malt Scotch.
You've got me curious though. I think Fred's right.

Maybe the "S", if inside the silver wings on the hood ornament, could have been for Sebring. It's a Chrysler product
thanks guys but all these cars are too good looking (I googled the Spyker and Chryslers) the Chrysler emblem looks right if it had a big "S" in the middle. It was (to me a Vette lover) uglyyyyyyy with a "big" flat front and grill. I wish I hadn't been in such a hurry! I will keep looking for it in Wilsonville area.
BTW Wong's Chinese is excellent!! All you can eat buffet for about $7.75 with about 20 selections! Just off the I5 next to Wilsonville Rd next to Arby's and Taco Bell. Try it if you are in the area.
Merry Christmas and happy cruising.
