I (BillBarkerville) along with a couple of folks - to be named later - are Regional Events Coordinators for the Pacific Northwest.
We are looking for your suggestions on the type of activities that you are interested in participating in along with any places where you might want to get together. It doesn't have to be very complicated. This could be as simple as a Saturday or Sunday rendezvous for coffee and/or ice cream. Who doesn't like ice cream?
As a motivation for helping us with this, the Corvette Forum will be GIVING AWAY a set of Fikse Custom Wheels!
Each Forum user who posts in THIS thread will receive a chance to win a custom set of wheels in their choice of style, finish and size! Multiple suggestions by the same Forum user will only count as ONE for the purposes of our random drawing for the wheels. So, in order to keep the thread readable, please add all of your suggestions in ONE posting. The contest ends at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific time) on November 9, 2012.
WE WANT YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS where Corvette owners should attend!! After the contest, then you could begin your own tread asking folks to join you at a date, time and location. Since we live in the unpredictable Northwest, then some gatherings will be on VERY SHORT NOTICE -- depending upon what the weatherman says!! But that's okay!!!
You can immediately post your suggestion(s) as a reply to this thread, and THAT will enter you into the contest.
Please refer to the following link for the FINE PRINT!

Looking forward to see your suggestions! And Good Luck!

Missed this one this year. Hope to be there with 2 cars next year. Waiting to see what the final C7 looks like, if not likey. Night Race Blue Z06 is in my future.
I second the XXX meet, didn't know about the place when the last Vette meet happened there, now I'm only a couple miles from it. And the Wife even likes it!

And PNW folks, you just went from 0 to 3 Event Coordinators. Let the fun begin!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bring the kids, CMCS usually host the valve cover races to keep the young ones interested.
- Start of summer gathering at the ocean
- End of summer gathering in the mountains
Make these an annual event open to all Corvettes residing in the PNW.
End of Summer, drive out to Leavenworth is a great way to spend a day.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Something that both Washington & Oregon residents could enjoy in the Gorge area - wine tour? lunch at Mt. Hood? Hood River Fruit Loop tour?
More of a national thing, but don't forget the National Corvette Caravan in 2014.
And shameless self promotion, "Corvettes in the Park" in Cottage Grove, OR hosted by Cascade Corvette Club.
Thinking of Hell's canyon area, around Leavenworth, up in Colville, or maybe down in Long Beach. Anywhere you can find roads that are not packed, nice scenery and where it would be nice to spend a day or two.
One day, we could meet up with the Oregon guys and take a drive out to Astoria, or just head down to Portland for a meet and greet.
Another great trip that some of us took this past summer was a drive over the North Cascades Highwy to Winthrop. Really spectacular. Had roughly 15 C6's attend.
Typically over 100 Corvettes attend.
Also have attended the "hunters" annual breakfast feed just outside of Cle Elum in the second week of September.
I like two ideas:
1. A gathering at the new Dick's drive-in. (Thanks for suggesting)
2. And how about a 1/13/13 party?!!!?!?!??!
You all know what THAT date is, don't ya??
Where could we host it and watch the unveiling?
I've attended a couple of events down in the Portaland area, and as usual for Vette owners, they're a great bunch of guys (and gals). It would be great if the Corvette Forum assisted in bringing owners from different areas together!
Our Anchorage Corvette Association is very social and something could considered to attract other Alaskan Corvette owners to join in the fun via Corvette Forum. Or possibly Team ZR-1 Motorsports Alaska could be the focal point of a Corvette Forum event.
It would be a stretch to expect participation from WA, OR, ID & HI Corvette owners, unless you are flying in. Though we have had an occational visitor from the Lower 48, even a crusie ship with a group of Corvette owners, and of course many of us Alaskans love to visit HI. BTW, I bought one of my Vettes in Mauli and had it shipped to Alaska.
