Default Thinking back...

Last year, I had a small disagreement with a curb on Thanksgiving. This was the damage to the front fascia:

Now, I recall giving the shop permission to take the car apart and check to see if there was any more damage. I do not, however, recall giving them permission to cut into it:

This happened a long time ago. I was thinking about it and couldn't remember being asked if they could cut it or giving them permission.

Ugh.

Kinda late to be making an issue of it...but it's the perfect opportunity to install a better looking aftermarket unit. I'd upgrade the bumper and move on. (and watch out for those curbs!)

Agreed.

Just a quick question.

Do you think the fascia had to be cut?

After looking at the first picture, it appears as though it just had to be bent back into place.

Wasn't there more damage than just the broken facia? Seems to me that you mentioned that you had to have it hauled somewhere after CHP looked at it for you.

Yeah, there was more damage, mainly to the radiator.

I'm just curious if the fascia could have simply been bent back into place or if there was an actual need to cut a huge piece of it off.
