Default Another airplane post.

I must be missing my days in the cockpit. This brought back some good memories. It was posted in the Off Topic section, but a lot of you don't go there so I thought I would share since there are a lot of aviation affectionato's here.

You'll have to overlook that it is an Airbus and not a Boeing. The crew did a better job than a certain Korean crew though. Enjoy:

Thanks for the video. I didn't know that you were a pilot - did you fly commercially?

6 years in the Air Force and 32 Years flying for Exxon. With Exxon it was GII's, GIII's, GIV's and Bombardier Global Expresses. Also some time in G5's, Saberliners and Cessna Citation3's. Air Force was EC-135's and C-141's. I stopped counting after 10,000 hours.

Sorry, the A380 may be big but it is really ugly.

Very nice video. I've read tons of stories on the Korean thing. It seems the majority of the worlds pilots outside the USA prefer to let the plane do the landing, where here most prefer to fly it in themselves. On that day you had pilots that had to fly it in (Airport systems down) in what was a somewhat unfamiliar plane to the Pilot and possibly questionable training on many of the systems in the Boeing 777. Way to go Korean Pilots, ruined the 777 perfect safety record.

Did I ever mention the time we were in a Grumman American (with no constant speed prop), on short final into Molokai and the engine started sputtering badly?

G-d I hated that plane
