C6 or C7?

It's expected to go for $3million.
In all seriousness the C7 configurator is up finally up on Chevrolets' website. Have at it.

If it was my money I would wait for the 2015's and avoid the first year teething issues. Also, by next year you won't get bothered by people wanting to see the car every time you park anywhere.

Also appreciate the C7 configuarator and played around with it for a while. Glad to see that, at least at MSRP, the C7 may be as great a bargain as the C6. I'm with you and a number of others; wait a year or two. Has Chevrolet ever charged for a front license plate mount before?
I know what you mean about being bothered by people. That used to happen fairly often with- my last car, but it was usually kind of fun. I get the same sort of interest when I ride my Triumph Thruxton.
Think I'll go play with the configurator some more. Sorry I didn't get a chance to stop and chat with you when we passed during last week's XXX show.
Ok, you finally tipped me Phil....so sit down and grab your ankles, here we go.
First: Since my first Corvette...i seriously evaluated each and every new model year. This was true of my '85 C4, '97 C5 and '07.C6Z.
Conclusion: To each their own but i long ago decided trading "up" within a generation didn't work for me.
Second: I traded the first one but lost the other two thru no fault of my own. Two of these were second model year the other a first year car.....not by choice but by circumstance. It turns out, i feel fortunate that the C4 was the second model year, not because of quality issues but rather suspension harshness well documented in '84. Manufacturing technology has progresed leaps and bounds in the last 20 years and GM is second to NONE. That and the fact that the C7 engineering had an extra few years to get fully baked due to the bankrupcy. Good engineering is a prerequsite to manufacturing product quality. Do you change your oil every 3,000 miles?
Conclusion: Use a different rationalization and Get over this first year car crap.
BTW After the C7 reveal, I did the usual analysis/justification and decided to keep "The Beast". However, never did i try and justify that mine was better than the next generation. I may have been satisfied/it may have paid for/low miles/retirement....whatever....love the one you're with!
I'm the last guy to disrespect anyones ride, no matter what generation, make model or brand for that matter. RTC is a wonderland of fabulous automobiles with the exception of Porches(Phil) and AFarts (Fred).
