It has been a super busy summer! Got to track my first ZR1 experience at the Ridge Motorsports Park last week. What a fun car! It could use a little aero at high speeds though.
There is going to be another track event at the Ridge on Friday the 13th. So far, the weather looks like it will be awesome! Right in the middle of several other nice days. There will also be a back to back event at the Ridge on the 25th and 26th. Of course, it is too far out to see what the weather will look like.
Turn2 will also be doing a charity event for the Camp Good Times Project which is a camp for kids that have cancer. This camp gives kids a chance to be kids. The sad thing is that the American Cancer Society will be dropping their funding for these camps all over the USA for 2014. So if you want to learn more, go to www.turn2lapping.com onto the charity page and learn more and what you can do to help. This event will be held on Saturday October 19th.
Just wanted to bring my track buddies up to speed!
Turn2 does a very nice job taking care of their drivers, the atmosphere is a combination of family picnic and professional track session (ie: a catered bbq lunch, followed by him passing out cold watermelon slices to all the drivers at the end of a hot day).
If you want to see the ZR1 at the track, there will be one at the Ridge on the 25th - 26th of next week. The owner is really cool and you could go for a ride! If you want to drive, there is still room to register.
