But on the west side of the state, the difference is made up in wiper blade replacements.
That may be true, but when Rain-X decides to locate their test facility in your area, then you know you're bound to grow moss on the north side of your Corvette.
Yeh and mold killer for lawn and roof. Oh, and I just spent a bunch of $$$ to sand and rustoleum the top of our "beater" truck. Got to go back over to Napa to get more touch up paint. There's on shelf paint is close enough!!
but, it is very pretty here!!

It's beautiful for sure, as it is up here. I fear our wonderful 4 month summer has spoiled us this year.
Oregon is nearly as beautiful as Washington, but our mountain is taller than yours.
I thought it was against the law in Oregon not to buy gas? You'll put all those skilled workers who pump gas out of a job.
You mean those skilled workers who try to pry the gas door on a C6 open before the driver can hit the button? Or the one's who nearly tear the rear license plate off a `56 Chevy looking for the gas cap? How about the one's who "pull the trigger" on the nozzle before they insert it in the neck?
I'd like to put some of those "skilled" workers out of consciousness. Oh, wait.............
Back to the original subject - we do have it pretty good regarding cost to operate a vehicle in Oregon. My brother lives in Houston where they pay much less for gas, but their vehicle registration fees, sales tax and property taxes make it unreasonable to maintain the registration of an older vehicle that is rarely driven. For that reason he has discontinued registering his `64 Corvette which he is still working on restoring.
Well, Corvettes on the Corner cancelled because of forecast of up to 3" rain this weekend
And, check around. The Shell station we use in Aurora lets us pump our own gas. The attendant has to hand us the nozzle, but then we can pump. And, not scratch the h**l out of our baby!!
One of the most beautiful places on earth is the Willamette Valley. Lots of twisty roads, too. Great summer weather, but I still prefer the desert of SE Washington for year-round sun.

You're not in the People's Republik of Eugene where "we the people" widen the bike paths with new pavement, while allowing the vehicle lanes to continue to crumble. Land of the freaks and home of the crazed.

That's great. Nice to know there are some attendants who understand the love we have for our Corvettes. AAA should highlight such stations in their travel guides.
By the way, should we come down that way, what's the customary tip for the attendant that allows this sort of behavior?
