Glorious Day

I must be getting old cause I still haven't done much full throttle stuff....and when I have the nannies kick in. A lot of it is it's been mostly cold or wet since I've had it. But I think it's more than that...it's a different kinda car. I think maybe, for the first time I'm understanding what a "sports car" really is. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Corvette guy through and through...my favorite being ANY C2 and having owned a C4,5 and 6. But this C7 is different. It handles so well...so effortlessly, it's just a lotta fun to drive! You have all the torque you can use at anytime if you're in the right gear which with the manual is part of the fun.
Not sure how I feel about that....I kinda miss my C6Z. I mean it was a monster....and sounded the part...but I often caught myself holding my breath when driving hard. It was more explosive. Fred's was/is clearly top dog....but nothing sounded and felt as good to me as mine. That said it was a brute and before I lost it I was wishing for a bit more refinement.

Anyway, great day, great drive, great car....but they all are on a day like this! Only low point was I missed the wave from a nice C3 heading north on 522....just didn't see him in time. He clearly saw me first (probably from the glare off all that damn product) but I felt a little bad especially from another generation car.
Hope some of you got out and enjoyed the day!
What Z you got Grim?

What a great winter day it was indeed.
Speaking of Griot's, has anybody tried that new tire shine/dress? It come in a rather small white plastic spray bottle and you spray it on a foam applicator. I'll tell you the truth....I've been using tire shines for decades and this is the best I've ever tried. It goes on easy and lasts for quite a while. Best part is that it doesn't sling off the tire and leave grease on the sides of the car because you are using such a small amount of the product. Just spray a few squirts onto the applicator and apply. Best tire shine I've ever tried and I've tried 'em all.
And no, I don't work for Griot's.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Of course not. I drove it down there last weekend in the rain and haven't had a chance to clean it up yet. Jeez, Walter.
Wait until you see what I can do with a 3" air grinder to an ancient 30' hydroplane trailer. I'll take photos on Monday.
BTW where can one find a tire shop who will deal with split rims? I think we're going to have to buy new wheels. I'm going to check out Sears garden dept tomorrow. I think they're having a sale. (When aren't they having a sale?)
I'm beginning to feel like Sears is just a big Radio Shack with clothing and tools. It was like a ghost town the last time I was at the Overlake store.
What are you doing tomorrow?
