"The Mariners have the best record in Major League Baseball. "
Looks like the Seahawk's success is starting to rub off on Seattle's baseball team.
I know, I know...it's early. But still, this is pretty good for a team that stunk last year. Go M's!
I agree, Glass Half Full.
If the M's could just stop acting like a AAAA Club Team for Major League Baseball. Soon as they put together some talent they start trading it off to other teams and bring up some more kids from their AAA Tacoma Club.
AAAA Club: (Definition) Major League baseball club who trains rookies for other Major League clubs. Doesn't help the M's get into the playoffs or into the World Series.
Can you imagine if WA teams could pull off back to back NFL and MLB wins of the Super Bowl and World Series? Okay I'll step away from the Bong...

Updated...
And now you know why I posted that earlier this month. I had a feeling that it might be the last time for a loooong time that it could be said, but I was hoping that it would last a little longer than it did. Now we just lost 7 of the last 8 games.
Oh well.
And one more thing: Who ever thought that Ackley would be hitting better (.294 with 9 RBI's) than the latest multi-million dollar bust, Cano (.254 with 8 RBI's), have the same number of home runs (1), and fewer strikeouts (7 vs 8 for Cano)?
I know, I know...it's still early and it's a long season....yadda yadda yadda.

I guess it's maybe time to resurrect the old cry: "Go Sonics" (and take the Mariners with you)
Too bad, isn't it? I haven't lost faith though and may eventually abandon my faith in the Cubs.
Yeah, for about a week or so lots of people including myself, were pretty excited at the prospect of a competitive team this year. Seemed like Smoak had finally learned to be a consistent hitter along with a couple other players, and with superstar Cano, we finally had a decent chance in the American League West.
Now, what with all of the fielding mistakes (anybody see those dropped ***** and miscalculations in the outfield last night?) and the return of poor hitting, not to mention the shaky pitching staff and worn out bullpen, it looks like another 100-plus game losing effort again this year.

1-0 right now in top of the 6th against the Royals. 7-2 road trip... beat up on the Yankees and A's, both pretty good clubs. Just when you think they're done for the season they come back and surprise you.
With 2 of their better pitchers coming back soon, it might be a good season after all. I certainly don't think they'll loose 100 games this year. Unless they do.
