That's some good photos. Thanks for sharing. Kind of a strange day, wasn't it? I mean with all the cars moved to the western end of the lot and so on. As you say though, some nice cars there, to be sure.
Was happy to see Mike and Sue, Joe (Wa Watchnut) and, Joe and Laurie. Didn't seem to have a large turnout though. Wonder if the new configuration was confusing people.
I can't let this go... that Calvin peeing on a Ferrari script decal was stupid. Not to mention in poor taste. That sort of low-brow statement IMO should be reserved for rusty old pickups and not allowed anywhere north of Algona. Or south for that matter. Maybe it's time to start an awareness campaign for those afflicted with Arrested Development. Just my two-bits worth, but as someone who loves and participates in the history of the famous marques, like Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa, et al Yes, and Corvettes it disappoints me to see this sort of thing.

Just sayin' It is a forum, right?
Thanks! I'm still working in getting better and improving my photography.
I actually kind of like the new layout, but it's weird (and that's coming from someone who's gone twice before yesterday). I just wish there was a bit more of a variety of cars yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I love Porsches and it's always nice to see Lambos, but it would be nice to see some others cars more often too.
Regarding the sticker, I found it funny, but it just seemed out of place with some of the other stickers on that car. He had a nice sticker that had a picture of Shelby and said "In memory of Carrol Shelby" and a Shelby Club of Washington sticker, but the "pissing on Ferrari was probably unnecessary.

So, are you telling me that the Calvin sticker was on a Cobra? Funny how that changes the context and nearly makes such a "statement" appropriate. If you've ever reviewed the history of Shelby's efforts to beat Ferrari at their own game, one - myself included, now - would understand, indeed, appreciate, the significance. Thanks for getting me straightened out on that point. I (apparently, incorrectly) assumed it was on a Lamborghini or some such Ferrari competitor. Even then, it might have been considered a subtle message as it relates to the history of the two leaders of those marques. Tell us, are you becoming a budding automotive historian or just enjoy the photography?
By all means, keep up the photography. Looks like you have the right sort of talent. Just need to continue working at it. It's a wonderful hobby. If you want to dlve into the history, we should get together sometime.

I thought the sticker was funny for the very reason that Shelby beat Ferrari at their own thing. I knew that part of Shelby's history and the fact that he helped with the development of the Viper and such.
I'm one of those people that wants to learn as much as I can about cars, their history, and eventually be able to work on my own car. I know a good bit about the History of the Corvette, but not everything of course. We should definitely meet up and talk cars sometime.

Nice message. I'll be happy to get together sometime. Not a lot of young men these days who have your focus.
FourOnefive, if you want we can hook up sometime at E@RTC and I can give some pointers. I've been shooting for over 45 years, shot pro for awhile even.(did weddings, car equipment shows, even Western Digital yearly report covers..) It easy once you know a few things...and easy to correct things with free tools too...

For sure, there's always room for improvement! I have Light Room on my school laptop, so that's what I use for editing, although it's pretty pricey if I want to buy it for my home computer, so I think a free tool(s) would be nice to know about.
I actually use Google Picasa 3 for most all of my editing, grab it before it goes away. Its easy to correct white balance, light, contrast, shadow, crop and all sorts of things. I have pricier tools but its so easy to use its my go to.

Too late - I just tried downloading Picasa 3 and Google says they've moved on. I tried several other sites with the same result, kept getting redirected to the same message saying try Google Photos.
Turns out I had on my home laptop from a few months ago. I played around with it and it's good for basic editing, but you just can't do all the fun stuff you can with Lightroom.
May have to bite the bullet and get a Photoshop/Lightroom bundle sometime.
I usually just verify white balance, sometimes lighten or darken and add contrast, and then often use "I'm feeling Lucky" and all together it works quite well. And its nice and quick. I have many more in depth tools (Including some from ON1) but I like the simplicity I guess. I do have a 20gb Picasa album that only costs me $5 a year. Plus google photo, if your pics are under 16mb each then you get unlimited storage so I take advantage of the also...

So you want to learn as much as you can about cars, eh. I'd be happy to provide an education on washing and waxing them. We'd start with my truck three or four times. Once you've perfected the proper technique, we'd move on to washing and waxing C6's and then C7's
Sorry, couldn't resist. Normally it's Phil...I'm surprised he gave you a free pass
I've got a few side hustles my self, one of them happens to be photography. If you ever want to get together, and do a shoot with our cars sometime, I know a LOT of exceptional spots all over Seattle, all the way up, and through the north side. We will be having an event soon where many of us are going to do just that in Everett! I'm also going to be hosting a mod party in coming months as well, if you want to learn how to wrench on your car with help from people that have done it their whole lives
I always liked lightroom as well, but it has a lot of limits. I really learned that once I finally forked over a wad for processional software.

Let me know when these events are going on, I love photography, so any chance I get, I try to do it. The mod party sounds fun too because I want to learn how to work on cars more in depth (I know the basics like changing a tire and oil).

Sounds good! Honestly, it's probably good to learn how to wash cars the right way too (I know not to swirl the paint when washing at least).

Good to know. Thanks for the tips Jetninja!

If you want Picasa, I might be able to assist on that. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I think I still have install setup from Picasa that I can email to you (not sure if it would work though).
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
