2017 Camaro
Thinking of selling my 2007 Coupe and buying a new Camaro SS. Has anyone had a experience with one? Would love some input. Thanks.

Haven't driven one (yet), but I did get to check out a pre pre production model before they came out. I think it's very solid car.
The biggest thing is that while it may be a heavier car than your '07, the performance is better. Chevy basically took everything they could from the C7 and shoved it into the GM Alpha platform and it has worked out really well for them. The driving dynamics are great from what I've heard and you obviously get the newest technology such as magnetic ride and the direct injected LT1.
Interior is also very nice, but there is the whole visibility aspect that people complain about. Again, I spent maybe 20 minutes total checking the car out, but it didn't seem too bad. Yeah it has it's blind spots, but so does every other car. Another thing is as nice as the touch screen is, some people have said it points slightly downward. I didn't personally notice this, but just something to keep in mind. The back seats are also fairly small and cramped from what I saw. Otherwise, no real nit picks on the interior, at least for me.
Essentially it's a bit more practical than a Corvette without losing the performance aspect (it's only about a tenth or two off from the C7s 0-60 for what it's worth).

I drove several of the '16 2SS cars before I bought my C5 Z06. I loved them. The factory dual mode exhaust sounded great. The adjustable suspension was awesome. My only complaint was that all the dealers in the Pac NW insist on ordering them with a moonroof. At 6'1" my torso is too tall so I had to recline the seat a lot to fit. I sat in one that didn't have the moonroof and it was great. For comparison, when I put a helmet on in my C5 Z06 I have to recline the seat a few clicks as well.
In 3 or 4 years when the ZL1's have taken that depreciation hit I may consider buying one.

I test drove the 2017 2SS Camaro the other day. Great driving car, handles real good and turns on a dime. The 2SS has blind spot monitors so that reduces the problem greatly. Performance is top tier. I have to admit that I was quite impressed with the car...plus easier to get in to. Now all I have to do is decide on what to do with the '07. Trade or sell. It only has 15,000 miles on it and is spotless.

To me, his sounds like a cry for help. At least in the sense that you may be asking for help - not just advice.
For what it's worth, a Camaro will never be a Corvette - at last IMO. If you have a family and want to take everyone out in the same car, then fine, but there are far better choices, like Minivans. Why not a Mustang? Same idea... Considered a Subaru WRX?
If you decide the Corvette is no longer providing you with the enjoyment it once did, that's fine. But why do you seem to think a Camaro is the most viable alternative?
Speaking only for myself, once you have a Corvette, there is no looking back. Especially if you enjoy it enough to hang out on a forum like this one.
There are no bad choices, only those you might regret.
I sense there's more at play here...

Because GM refused to compromise on the design. Same as the 5th gen. Engineering is expected to make everything fit in the package they are given to work with. This is a major shift in car development for GM that began over a decade ago. It does come with its problems though. I wonder how much of this has led to the overheating issues seen by the C7 Z06's.

Hey guys....thanks for the input. Everything was very helpful. I decided NOT to purchase the Camaro even though it was a outstanding car. So after a lot of soul searching and thought, I traded the '07 in today on a 2016 Corvette coupe with under 500 miles on it. Got a great deal and should be a lot happier with this decision. Thanks again.....hope to see some of you this summer.
