That "review" is at least a year old. Dan and his crew are excellent people to deal with and they have a great reputation in the Puget Sound area. I wouldn't be concerned dealing with them just because of that one issue.

I've been using Corvettes of Auburn for six years now - not only for my Corvette but my Tahoe, my wife's car and a couple times to go through and inspect cars my son was buying (one they told me to take back immediately as it had several underlying problems).
I've always been treated more than fair. Who knows what the story really is with the link you provided - that's absolutely not been my experience in dealing with them.

I've been dealing with Dan at CoA for the last 13 years and each time have come away satisfied with their service. He and his crew have worked on each of my 3 Vettes I've had over the years and I've no complaints.

For 10+ years I've had nothing but excellent service from Dan and his crew including mechanical and body/paint work and accident repairs.
Call 'em up and ask about the customer/review in question, I'm sure you'll get an honest answer.

Corvettes of Auburn have worked on my 1991, 1992 and 2002 Z06, and have been great every time. Repairs were done quickly and correctly the first time at a reasonable cost. They have been very easy to work with and I do not hesitate to recommend them.

In my opinion, you generally get what you pay for and while he may not have bargain basement prices, you'll come away satisfied with the work he and his crew perform.

Can you tell me what you paying hourly? Or an example of what any job he charges? There are general repair hour guilds out there I can use as reference to help me better plan budget wise. So I don't go in blind folded.

I honestly don't remember what his rates are. But I'm sure if you give Heather, the office manager a quick call, she'll be glad to tell you.

If you want low budget/low end service for your vehicle, you should probably look elsewhere.
Check their website if you doubt the recommendations that you're getting here are valid or not. Just scroll through their "restorations" pics for some amazing examples of their capabilities. And not just limited to Corvettes.

Without knowing what kind of work/repair you're looking to have performed, maybe PepBoys is an option.

I had issues with an aftermarket exhaust install. The person that put it in didn't get the tips even when looking down at them and being OCD, it drove me nuts. I took it to Dan and the guys and they fixed it perfectly. I can't honestly remember how much but it was almost an hour for easily under $60.
If you want to get a ball park price, call and ask them. I believe that service is still "free."
