Hi All,
I live in Seattle and own a 2011 Black Grand Sport. Last Friday, I accidentally scratched my car against a concrete pillar that resulted in some ugly scratches in front right. I am looking for recommendations on where I can get these fixed within 30 mile radius of Seattle. Any estimates on price are also welcome.
Also, do you guys recommend claiming insurance or just paying out of pocket for the fix?
There's probably a lot of body shops that are capable of doing a good repair - Corvettes of Auburn does good mechanical, body and paint work. I'd recommend getting an estimate for the repair before deciding on using insurance or not (although I don't know if they'd still accept the claim after sitting on it very long).
If it is only on the surface and not deep into the paint, 3M makes a rubbing compound/shine restorer that works pretty darn good. I have used it in the past with very good results. That might be worth trying before spending a lot with a shop. As far as insurance is concerned......I would ask your agents advise. The insurance company could raise your rates via a surcharge to make up anything they would pay out.

Salintinos in South Tacoma. 56th street off the freeway go west and when you go over the railroad track you are there. Good at blending in paint. Also have a cash discount. I would try to rub it out myself first however. Some 5000 grit paper may do wonders.
