C5 flat spot
Our stock - except for Z06 catbacks - 2000 C5 with 57K on it has always had a bit of a flat spot, or hesitation, from about 1800 RPM to about 3K. It doesn't seem to miss, it just doesn't pull hard if you give it gas at the lower RPMs. I've replaced the plug wires with MSD wires and plugs with NGK laser irridium plugs in the last 2,000 miles or so. The only thing that really seemed to help was cleaning the MAFS a few years back. It helped for a bit, but then went back to it's old slight hesitation at low RPMs. Cleaned the MAFS again with no luck. I'm looking to have it tuned and searched to see that Tommy Wong and Corvettes of Auburn are solid choices. I'll need to tell my very understanding wife a ballpark figure on what the cost might be before I make an appointment, Anyone care to take a guess at what it might cost?
