Default dash panel repair

hi
the plastic (?) reinforcements on my dash pad and left side dash panel are cracked. the vinyl is in relatively good condition, so i'd like to reuse them. what's this plastic made of ? fiberglass ? what's the best way to repair ?
thanks
jeff

No, they are not fiberglass so don't use matting and resin. It is a plastic of some kind. I would try a good quality epoxy. Try to vee out the cracks and rough it up with sandpaper so the epoxy can get a good bite.

I had the same problem with my '69 left side panel. It was pretty bad behind but the vinyl was good. I opted to get a new one.

Use 3M "Structural Adhesive" available at automotive paint stores. This is a 2 part adhesive that works on a variety of plastics and steel. Very strong.
